Frequently Asked Questions

Patient FAQ

1What are specialty medications?

Specialty medications are medications that may require special handling, administration or monitoring. These medications are typically for particular conditions that require customized care. Specialty medications may also require what is known as a “prior authorization” from your doctor before your insurance will cover the cost of the medication. At CompreCare, we pride ourselves in making the specialty medication process as simple and seamless for you.

2What kind of services does CompreCare provide?

CompreCare is not your typical specialty pharmacy. We offer a variety of services for your specialty medication, compounding and home infusion needs. We coordinate our services to meet your specific requirements. We offer free delivery, support for insurance coverage, 24/7 customer support, coordination services with specialty nursing, translational services and many more benefits that allow you to make the most out of your therapy.

3How do I place an order with CompreCare?

Placing an order is a simple process coordinated with your doctor.

Simply have your doctor fill out an enrollment form and return it by fax at 888-862-4769.

Your doctor can also send us your prescription electronically or through the mail to our address:

1308 4th Avenue
Huntington, WV 25701

4What are your hours of operation?

Our experienced team is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Simply give us a call: Toll Free at 1-888-644-8326.

5How is my medication delivered?

We offer free delivery straight to your door. We can also send medications to your physician’s office, clinic or hospital free of charge. Medications that are refrigerated are sent via overnight services and packed with substantial freezer packs to assure that your medications maintain the correct environmental temperatures. We let you know as soon as your medication is on the way and keep track of it to make sure it arrives safely and quickly to you.

6Does CompreCare supply “sharps containers”?

Sharps containers designed for the disposing of needles are available for purchase at CompreCare. Most insurances do not cover the cost of sharps containers, therefore CompreCare does not supply these containers automatically with your order.

If you don’t desire to purchase a sharps container, you can use an alternative method with an empty laundry detergent bottle. Simply use a hard plastic empty laundry detergent bottle that has a good top to close. Write on the outside of the bottle, “Sharps Container: DO NOT RECYCLE”. You can use this bottle as your sharps container until it is about three quarters of the way full, make sure not to overfill it! Once the container is ready to be disposed of, make sure you seal the top of the bottle shut using tape and dispose of it in the regular trash. Always remember not to recycle these bottles and make sure you keep them away from children and pets.

If you have any additional questions regarding sharps and the proper disposal of needles or medications, please feel free to contact us at: 1-888-644-8326.
